Building GeneroCity Projects

Campus Wide Wireless. We have installed enterprise-class wireless internet around our campus. The open network for guests and members to use is called "First Pres" and is made available to facilitate the numerous ministerial resources that are available online. This is the controller device for the wireless networks.

Campus Wide Wireless. You will notice Cisco access points installed around the main church campus. These have been installed in strategic locations to provide uninterrupted internet connectivity throughout the whole church!

Handicapped Access Ramp. A backhoe is tearing out bushes where a handicapped access ramp will be installed at the exit of Reese Hall East. Presently, there is only one handicap accessible ramp, but it is at the opposite end of the building. This will greatly add to the accesibility of our building.

Hi-Definition Studio Camera. This is a newly purchase long-format high definition studio camera that will be used to record and simulcast worship services. During the year that the sanctuary is closed, this camera will aid worship by simulcasting worship services from St. Andrew's Hall to the Youth Ministry Building.

Building Acquisition. You are looking at First Presbyterian Church’s newest addition to our campus. The Allgood Building is located at 615 Telfair Street and will be utilized as administrative offices to open up three classroom spaces in Reese Hall East as early as summer 2012. Two of these spaces will be dedicated to the nursery and children’s ministry. The third, classroom will allow our young adult ministry to vacate the Old Medical College Building, which we have been paying rent for. We thank God for his provision in our first step in Building GeneroCity.
